Today was awesome. My favorite poet, Anis Mojgani, hosted an Open Studio at Serenbe. He had been nominated to attend a month long artist residency at Serenbe and today he opened up his studio to folks to come check out what he’s been working on. It was a like a little sneak peak into his creative mind. Simply. Amazing. We talked with him for a little bit and purchased another copy of his new book. He was kind enough to sign it and take a picture with me. :)
What an amazing experience. He is so down to earth, yet magical and inspiring. He also mentioned that he was hoping to do a reading towards the end of February…which I will do whatever I can to make sure we attend!

Uh oh…what have I done?
About once a year I finally get to the salon and get my hair trimmed and colored. This time I decided to get a lot chopped off. I hadn’t been taking care of my hair like I should, especially since it was so long. I guess now it should be a lot easier to manage! ;)

This showed up today. :) Will actually had these sent to the hotel in North Charleston while we were there this weekend, to say thank you. Unfortunately, I had already checked out of the hotel before they arrived. It’s so cute!

A friend wasn’t feeling well today so I surprised her at work with some yummy donuts. :)
I love when I am able to do something for someone else. I wish I had more money, just so I could make it my job to surprise people with gifts and fun things.

I got a new journal today. :)
It’s been a long time since I’ve purchased a journal. Years ago, I used to buy them ALL the time…but hardly used them. So I told myself to quit buying them and I even got rid of most of the empty ones.
The past few days I’ve been thinking of “creative projects” and decided today that I needed a place to jot down my thoughts.
Ta-da!

I got tons of puppy love today and it was awesome!
We meet at a friends house before going out to lunch, and they were pet sitting 3 adorable dogs. One of this was this teeny, tiny 8 week old chihuahua puppy. There was also a dauschund and another mutt teenager puppy. Plus their own two dogs.
It was dog playtime for real!
