Year 2/Day 96

Year 2 - Day 96

I’ve been doing really well trying to eat better, and I actually like going to the gym now (eeks…).  It’s interesting how “bad” some foods are when you take a moment and really look at them from a macro-nutrient level.  No more fast food for me thanks.  My whole day is blown in just one meal!

It’s also interesting how some “good” foods are broken down differently than you’d expect. (Example: hard boiled eggs are a good source of protein, but are rather high in fats.  Good fats, but still fats.)  I am enjoying the fact that the healthier I eat, the more healthy I want to continue eating.  Now don’t get me wrong, there are days when I just want a big bowl of cheesy pasta and ice cream and french fries and…you get it.  But on average, I’m good.

Year 2/Day 92

Year 2 - Day 92

My first gym injury.

Luckily it doesn’t hurt!  I’m thinking it was more of a pressure thing…those weights are heavy!  :)

Year 2/Day 89

Year 2 - Day 89

Another 12 hour day clinical day.  My preceptor wasn’t able to work today, so I followed another nurse.  She was very sweet and let me do a lot (which I appreciated).  Overall it was a pretty good day.

Year 2/Day 87

Year 2 - Day 87

Just taking one day at a time…

I’m going to need a month off come the new year…

Year 2/Day 86

Year 2 - Day 86

This semester has been taking a ton of my time, and I haven’t been working as much…which sounds great…but adds a lot of extra stress when the bills come due.

It has also been really hard for me to keep up with my blog.  I’m taking pictures most days, but I get about 5 days behind before I upload and post them.  There has been so much on my mind, most days I just forget.  Then I get a couple days behind and I would post if I were caught up…but I don’t want to take the time to catch up first.  Blah…

Year 2/Day 7

Pretty uneventful day today.

I started reading a book the other day, “John Dies at the End” by David Wong.  Great book.  My free time these past few days has involved me, that book, and a comfy spot.

Actually, that sounds like a good idea…

Day 365!

So.  This is Charlie.

It’s been 1 full year today.  365 days of photos.  365 days…wow.  I actually did it.

It’s been a long year full of many memories and many changes.  I am so grateful to of had a place to voice myself.

To those of you who have been with me from the start, thank you.

To those of you who have joined me along the way, thank you as well.

I’ll end the year with this:
6 things I’ve learned over the past 365 days

1) Everyday, is a lot.

2) I love documenting my life.
This is something I’ve known for awhile, but rarely take the time to actually do.

3) Create for yourself – not others.
I’m not doing these projects for other people.  Some days I just don’t have the energy to get a “good” picture…and that’s ok.

4) I do like positive feedback, but I don’t need it.

5) Listen to your gut, and be adventurous.  Don’t be too scared to go for it, you might surprise yourself.

6) There is something interesting everywhere…you just have to be willing to take the time to look for it .

Thanks again, and till next time! :)

Day 364

I was driving home with my windows down, music up, enjoying the beautiful summer evening and thought to myself…Wow, tomorrow is the very last day of this amazing photo journey.

I decided to head over to Jones Bridge Park before going home, in hopes of getting one last “great shot” before this collection is done.

Man, am I glad I did.  The sun was setting, it wasn’t too busy, and the scenery was gorgeous.  Plus, there was this misty fog over the Chattahoochee River that was breathtaking.

I love evenings that feel like this.
