Day 120

image

Not a great picture today.  Honestly, I almost forgot to take one, which is strange because I actually thought about it quite a few times today.

This was an idea I’ve had for awhile, and I may try again with better lighting.  Tonight was last minute…and there was a spider over my shoulder that was kinda freaking me out, so yeah.

Day 119

Meow.

Louie is getting so big, and look at those eyes!  He’s starting to get a bit skidish…which I don’t like…but he still purrs when we hold him.

I guess we should decide if we’re keeping him or not.  :)

Day 118

Well, a lot happened with school today.  Nothing bad, just everything falling into place.  I’m hoping to get my study habits back in check and get an A this semester.

I have tomorrow off, and the goal is to get a lot done.  :)

Day 117

Today, my grandma Pam and Dick came by the apartment and helped me get a new battery for my car.  Thankfully that was the only problem.

After that, we headed to Stone Mountain.  First, we took the sky lift up, and grandma Pam and I walked down while Dick rode the sky lift back down.  It was a nice walk.  Not quite what I expected, but fun.

After that, we grabbed some lunch at one of the resturants there at Stone Mountain, and then they dropped me back off at the apartment.

Unfortunatley, by this time my stomach started rumbling…and I’ve been curled up on the couch, or asleep, the rest of the night.  :(

Day 116

Wow. . . What. A. Day.

Both bad, and good I must say.  This morning started off kind of sucky.  When I got to work, my car died.  Sure, at least I made it to work first, but now I have to deal with my car.  Not something I want to be doing now.

Next hurdle was work itself.  Second day shooting done…and boy did we have to work.  Lessons were learned today though, let me tell you what.

Interesting side note…my elbows hurt from shooting on the floor and leaning on them all day.  Weird, I know.  I would of never thought about that…

After the crazy work day was done, and I got a jump from mall security, Will and I met up with my grandma Pam and Dick.  I showed them around our new apartment, and we headed to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.  I love that place.  I got many, many pictures today. That makes me very happy :)

After that, we got some yummy food at No Mas Cantina, and headed back home.  Tomorrow should be another busy day.  I’ve got to get my car fixed pronto.

Day 115

Laundromat, oh laundromat…

Good times are always had at the laundromat.

Today was my first busy, photo shoot day at work.  I did about 4 sits of varying groups (business, babies, groups).  It was…fun, educational, hectic, and a bit crazy at times…but I loved it.

I have found that I am a hands on learner.  Things just seem to make more sense when I mess up, fix myself, and do better the next time.  Hopefully, tomorrow will be another good day.

Day 114

image

I had my first photo shoot at work today!!  :)  It was a new mom, dad, and 1 week old baby.  I did…good.  Not great, but good enough.  Pretty exciting I must say.

Tomorrow will be another day of shoots and then Sunday, me and another new employee are on our own…eek!  I hope everything goes ok…

Day 113

Day 113

Nothing exciting happened today.

Day 112

image

Today was our last day of training.  Now to find some people willing to let me photograph them.  :)  Should be interesting…

On my way home, I took a detour through “Historic Powder Springs” to see if I could find something to photograph.  As it turns out, I did.

This image was the last shot I got before I headed home. There were some really cute, older buildings that had some very interesting textures.  The sky was beautiful today to, so that was nice.

Day 111

Training at JCP was really interesting today.  We got to do 2 photo shoots with “real” kids, a 4 year old boy, and two babies (1 month boy, 4 month girl).
It was a whole lot of fun.  I really can’t wait to start doing more shoots.  The amount of things to learn is both exciting and daunting.  But, mostly exciting. :)
