Day 88

I started clinicals this weekend,  and it actually seems like I’ll learn something this semester.  Which will be a nice change of pace.  My clinical professor seems nice, and yet willing to push us and apply the techniques we’ve learned.

Will and I also moved this weekend.  He was planning on moving out when his lease was up (due to the whole neighbor situation), and we were talking about me moving in with him.

Well, then I got kicked out, and my decision was made. :)  Luckily, everything has been great so far.  Busy, and cluttered right now, but good.  At least as far as living together goes.  All the other stuff going on is extremely stressful (school, Sprouts, JCP, money), but it’s nice to have someone to talk to and lean on for support.

I just have to remember to take one day at a time, and stay positive and organized.

Day 87

Again, way too busy to write today…

Movers moved most of our stuff to the apartment today…lot of work to still do…clinicals this weekend…homework…unpack/organize house…sleep…etc…

Day 86

Super busy/stressed today.

I’ll catch up later.

Day 85

My mind is absent today, out of focus.

Sometimes the stress builds up too much,  and you just have to say “stop!” and breathe for a day.

That day is today.

Day 84

I was inspired to take today’s picture while we were driving to work.  My car was still in the shop, so Will was dropping me off.

The windows were rolled down, and we were stopped at a red light when I noticed this neat rusted pipe next to me.  It’s not often I’m in the passengers seat, but when I am I love to look around and see all the interesting things the world has to offer.

That’s one of my favorite things to do…find things that people don’t notice and put it in the spotlight.  I love to look around until I see a small, forgotten weed hidden among the grass.  That weed is beautiful too, most people just don’t take the time to look for it.  It’s fun, and I love hearing people’s reactions to some of my photography.

Day 83

Well, today started off with a “bang”.  We were headed to the apartment to drop off some stuff and meet the Comcast guy when…my car stopped working in the middle of the road.

Now, I knew I had a transmission problem but didn’t think it would break down so suddenly.  I should have been a little more critical I suppose.  About 1 week ago, there was an additional noise that my car began making, but I chose to ignore it.

Wrong choice Brandi.

So, now I sit here without a car, at the mercy of Will and my friends for rides.  Blah, I hate not having my own car.

The rest of the day was filled with errands and unfortunatley no homework got done.  There’s always tomorrow right?…right?

The saying “When it rains, it pours” is so appropriate to my life right now.  But, I try to stay positive and wait out the storm.  I’ll try to enjoy the beauty it has to offer and hope it doesn’t leave behind too many scars.

Day 82

image

Mmm…trail mix.  I look at things like this in a very different light nowadays.  It used to be a sometimes enjoyed snack, and now…it just reminds me of work.  Filling bins, sweeping floors, stocking night.

Work, work, work.  That’s all I seem to be doing lately.  Or at least that’s how it seems to be.  Even as I write this, I’m working.

Figures.

Day 81

Long day.

Tired.

Irritated by people’s pettiness.

Thankful for others.

Day 80

Day 80

Today, Will and I visited IKEA.

WOW…

What an adventure.  It was a very interesting store to visit, if not a bit overwhelming.  There were lots of pretty neat things there, and I can imagine one could do some really cool things with their home decor.  But, I gotta say I’m not a fan of the layout.  It appeared that you have to walk a predetermined pathway through the store, whereas I prefer to walk in which ever direction I choose.  :)

We picked up some things for the apartment (lamps, desk, most of a futon), but my favorite were these animal butt hooks.  The tail of this animal (yet to be determined if they are cats or dogs) are the “hook” and they are in fun bright colors.  Super cute.

Now, time to play some Final Fantasy.

Day 79

Today was a pretty great day.

Work was relatively easy, which was a nice break from what it’s been.  Then, after work I met Will at the new apartment complex and he signed the lease to our new place.

It is such a cute apartment!!  2 bedrooms, 2 bath, vaulted celings, 2nd floor, nice kitchen, and a balcony.  I love it! :)

After that, I met Joanne and Leann and we ate lunch at O’Charley.  We all caught up on the latest news in our lives (you know how girls do), and I headed home.

Once Will got home from work we decided to go have a nice, special dinner to celebrate the day.  One delicious dinner later, and I’m ready for bed. :)
