Day 76

image

I know my photos have become less “artsy” lately…but life has gotten so busy and stressful.  It’s really all I can do to just make sure I take at least one picture for the day, and post my blog. :)

School started back up today.  Back to the endless reading, driving to Gainesvsille, and crossing fingers I don’t fail any tests.

Well, I’m pulling an overnight at work today…so I better get back to it…

Day 75

Day 75

Wow.  Today sucked.

Let me just start by saying that I know I may not always do things “the right way”, but damn.  These past few months have taken me on one crazy emotional adventure.  Like the tides of an ocean flowing up and down the shores, my emotions have done the same.  I’ve gotten closer to some people, and others that I thought were close, are slipping away.

My eyes are open now.  What I see before me is one book closing while another one awaits, eager to show me what it has written on its pages.  It’s both sad and exciting.  Sure, it’s fun to finish a good book, but now you are no longer a part of that story.  So you set it aside, placing it among your favorite things and hope to remember the story forever.

Now what, you ask yourself.  Time for a new one I suppose.  But what kind of story do I want to read now?  What story will unfold before me at this point in my life?  That’s where the excitement comes in.  You hope for good times and many smiles.  Fun with friends and new romances.

I like to stay positive and hope that after hardships, comes something beautiful.  A new beginning if you will.  Like the trees that were burned down in a forest fire, eventually new growth sprouts up from the charred soil.  That’s what is happening with me as well.  I could easily take this situation, and become hateful or depressed.

Instead, I choose to make something beautiful.  I’ll create my own forest.

Day 74

Day 74

So, technically I missed posting my picture today.  Things have been a bit chaotic (See Day 75).

This photo was another playful attempt with light painting.  I took this one out of the passenger window while riding down I75.  I love the colors, and the variety of greens that decided to show up and play.

Day 73

Day 73

Ok.  I know this picture is out of focus.  I get that, but there’s something about it that I really like.

Nothing too exciting today.  Work, home, help Will back, chicken wings, home again.

Sleep and Repeat.

Day 72

Day 72

Wow…what a day.

I knew it would be bad, but dang.  My day started at 3 am, a time when normal people are passed out and dreaming.  Not me.  I had to be to work at 4 am.  Yuck.

To top that though, I was looking at a 12 hour day as well.  Double yuck.  Pile on feet that are screaming in pain, and a lack of sleep the night before.  All that equals me passed out for 10 hours once I finally got home.  :)

So, now my sleep schedule is all messed up and I’m awake at 3 am.  What do I do?  Should I stay up and be productive, or just go back to sleep?  Guess I’ll stay up for a bit, and then take a short nap before starting another day of work.

I have to admit though, my pic of the day is actually from a few days ago.  I simply did not have the energy to try and capture a decent picture today.  Excuses I know, but it is what it is.  I’ll try harder tomorrow.

Day 71

Day 71

Long, LONG day ahead of me tomorrow.  Night.

Day 70

Day 70

Today, I messed around with the light camera app.  This one kind of reminds me of a watercolor, or a background in Lady Cottington’s Pressed Fairy Book by Terry Jones.  All it’s missing is a squished fairy.  :)

Day 69

Day 69

I love sunflowers.  I really love how they transform through many stages of beauty.  This stage has to be my favorite though.

The flower bud has been exposed, but the petals are still wrapped up tightly.  It will take a few more days of sunlight to entice these petals to reveal themselves, and the beauty inside.

I actually took this same picture yesterday, but it was a little out of focus.  I was sitting around the house this morning, wondering why I was up so early, and noticed it was still wet from yesterdays rainstorm.  So, I headed over to see if I could get a better picture.

This is what I got.  Along with a bunch of other neat shots of this sunflower and some random bugs.  Those are to be seem in Augusts outtakes…whenever I finally get to editing those…

Day 68

Day 68

I’ve been watching these caterpillars grow the past few days, and I believe I’ve identified them!  It appears that they might be orange-tipped oakworm moths.

I have to admit, I’m kind of bummed that they are not butterflies.  Ah well.  It’s neat watching them grow, shed, change colors, and eat all the leaves.  If it’s quiet enough, I can even hear them chewing.  It’s actually quite interesting.

Day 67

Day 67

Today’s picture is from inside of a car wash.  One that did not last long enough!  I did get a few good shots though.  I bet one could get some really interesting photos from within a car wash.  With the right amount of time, and the right equipment.

I also tried Indian food for the first time tonight.  Will and I went to his favorite restaurant (oops, should of paid attention to the name…).  It was pretty good.  Some very interesting flavors, I must say.  I would like to try it again, and see what some of the other dishes taste like.  Right now, I know I love Naan bread, but I knew that before tonight.  :)

I got the day off tomorrow…and then work 6+ days straight.  So, I gotta get a lot of stuff done tomorrow!

My posts have been rather short and straight forward lately.  Hmm…I’ll have to work on that, and maybe have a more interesting post soon.  Some kind of thought provoking insight into daily life maybe…
