Flowing Through Mountains

Christmas eve was wonderful.  My fantastic, wonderful boyfriend got me a new camera!!  Its a Nikon D3200.  I’m super excited to learn all this thing has to offer.

Dinner was very nice, and overall I think the night was a success.

Tomorrow we try and install the new stereo in my car…wish us luck!  :)

Tennessee Aquarium was our destination today, and what a lot of fun we had!  I love aquariums, zoos, and anything with animals really. 

I especially loved the jellyfish exhibit, and the cuttlefish, and the seahorses…ok…all of it.  :)

I love days like today where I have a bunch of great pictures, and it’s hard to choose one for the pic of the day.  I chose this one because it looked so dramatic and interesting.  But, I’ll add some of the cute critters too.  :)

It was great to see Kerri today, and I got my puppy fix too.  I love puppies! :)

We’re in Chattanooga now for a few days, and I’m hoping the weather improves tomorrow.  It was very gross and rainy all day today.

Finally done baking…but I never got to the cookies.  Ah well.  There’s always next year.

I ended up making 5 different flavors of bark, and they all are yummy!  Endless number of trays of that stuff were created these past few days.  Plus, 6 loaves of banana bread.  :)

Tomorrow we head to Tennessee.  First, we’re stopping in Pikeville to visit Kerri.  Then, we’re off to Chattanooga to spend Christmas with Will’s family.

Should be fun!!

I had great plan of writing something good tonight…but I’m exhausted and heading to bed.

Another day maybe…

Baking, and baking, and baking…

Day 2 of baking craziness has been mostly a success.  I made 2 more loaves of banana bread, a mint chocolate brittle, and a chocolate/pretzel brittle (to be tested in the morning). 

I did have one failure today as well.  I was trying to make a chocolate/white chocolate swirl brittle…and ruined it.  I didn’t think about how sensitive white chocolate to heat, and I’m pretty sure I over cooked it.  Ah well.

Time to bake!!

It always seems to happen that when the holidays roll around, I get this huge urge to bake a bunch of fun treats.

This year I’m making banana bread, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and a new brittle candy recipe.

I might make some more stuff, but I’m not sure yet…we’ll see what happens.

Also, interesting note…today I am halfway through my 365 day photo project.  Exciting!
