Day 212

So overwhelmed with school…already.

Day 211

Throwback Thursday.

This photo was actually taken over the Christmas holiday in Tennessee.

I never posted it + I didn’t take a single pic today = #TBT

It was actually a really great photo shoot.  I was wandering around the yard trying to “find” my pic of the day, but I wasn’t really satisfied with what I was finding.

I had just decided to go back inside, and on my way up the front porch, I spotted them.  About 6 large snails were snailing around in the bushes.

I ran to the car to get my macro lens, scooped a couple up, a started shooting.  It was a lot of fun!

Day 210

It’s amazing how busy I am with school already, and I’ve only been back 1 day!  My goal this semester is to stay organized, and on top of everything.

Fingers crossed.

On another note, the temperature dropped significantly today.  It’s 15 degrees outside tonight!!  15!!!  And…the heat is out in my car…and I don’t have $600 lying around right now.
So, I get to bundle up and toughen up!  At least the car runs, and is safe to drive.

Day 208

Well, it starts again.  Nursing school.

Tomorrow.

…and I’ve just spent the last few hours preparing and organizing for my classes.

Here we go folks.  I’m ready for this semester!

Happy New Year!!

I love reading everyone’s motivational comments about how they wish to spend the new year, and what changes they’d like to make…but I also wish that we all had more reasons throughout the year to contemplate these thoughts.

Why not show your appreciation for the people in your life everyday?

Why not actively take measures to improve yourself, whether physically, emotionally, or creatively, more often?

I’m not trying to be negative, or blame anyone.  Honest.  I usually do this every year myself.  But what I thought about today was how beautiful, honest and self reflective my friends, family, and strangers were being.

I loved it, and I wish more people were able to be this vulnerable on a daily basis.  So my New Year’s resolution, if you will, is to be more open.

Open to new possiblities, open to express my emotions, open to really see and enjoy the world around me.

Welcome, 2015.  I look forward to sharing my small part of it with all those who are willing to join me.
