Flowing Through Mountains

Abstract self portrait.

I was walking to my car today, on the way to work, and noticed some sort of oil running down the parking lot.

It looked really neat, and I thought to myself, “Hey! My pic of the day!”.  As I was trying to get a close-up of the oily reflections, I caught my shadow…and liked it.  :) 

It’s a nice change of pace to find my picture like I used to, instead of forcing one at the end of the day.

I’ve been so wrapped up with school, that I’ve not been able to spend any time with my photography.  So, my pics have been very uninspired.  :(

Although, today’s pic is a close-up of a painting I did many years ago.  When I painted it, I really loved it.  The colors and brush strokes pulled me in.  I knew it wasn’t “great”, but I liked it.

Dinner.  Yum.

So overwhelmed with school…already.

Throwback Thursday. 

This photo was actually taken over the Christmas holiday in Tennessee.  

I never posted it + I didn’t take a single pic today = #TBT

It was actually a really great photo shoot.  I was wandering around the yard trying to “find” my pic of the day, but I wasn’t really satisfied with what I was finding.

I had just decided to go back inside, and on my way up the front porch, I spotted them.  About 6 large snails were snailing around in the bushes. 

I ran to the car to get my macro lens, scooped a couple up, a started shooting.  It was a lot of fun!

It’s amazing how busy I am with school already, and I’ve only been back 1 day!  My goal this semester is to stay organized, and on top of everything.

Fingers crossed.

On another note, the temperature dropped significantly today.  It’s 15 degrees outside tonight!!  15!!!  And…the heat is out in my car…and I don’t have $600 lying around right now. 
So, I get to bundle up and toughen up!  At least the car runs, and is safe to drive.
