Flowing Through Mountains

Spent the day in a waiting room most of today.  Got caught up on some homework, but not near as much as I should have.

Amazing clinical today!

I’ve realized that OB is not my “calling” area, but I did have a great day today.  I had a great nurse, I and was able to observe a circumcision and 2 c-sections. 

Very interesting.

I also got to do my first straight cath…  :)  Awkward, yes, but everything went well.

Not much going on today.

Tonight we went to open mic night at Eddie’s Attic.  It’s been so long since I’ve been, and we had a great time. 

Will heard Jackie Myers was playing, which was the reason we went, but come to find out Faye Webster played tonight as well.  Lots of fun as always.

Music…some days I’m taken to a whole different place with it.  It’s always around (commercials, radio, concerts, even our phones), but sometimes…sometimes it reaches out and grabs you. 

Maybe when you’re not expecting it, or maybe when you are.  Either way I love those moments.  Those are the moments when I think deeper.  Not in a arrogant, intellectual way, but in a introverted, self aware way.

I begin to wonder about things and become more aware of my surroundings.  My emotions are heightened and I feel more open and vulnerable. 

It’s like living in the moment versus being caught in the mundane day to day. 

Long day at work today.  At least tonight was busy,  so the time went by quicky.  Wish I could say the same about the morning.

Tonight Will and I saw Takenobu at Eddie’s Attic.  I think this was the 4th time we’ve seen him…amazing as always. :)

I really love my new camera.  I don’t understand all the technical aspects, but it takes some really good shots.
